where is the file slc.dll you mention? I don't find it your zip file and it doesn't work for me. Stick note just doesn't launch.

Arris: The slc.dll file is located in sticky_notes.zip\x64\Sticky Notes\. Make sure the file isn't for some reason removed by your antivirus software.

Just to add, I have the same error as reported by Klebs in his first post. Sticky Notes appear to have installed successfully, but can't be run.

Arris: Are you running a non-English version of Windows Server? In that case the .mui files should be placed in the correct folder manually (i.e. .\nl-NL\ instead of .\en-US\ for the Dutch locale). If that isn't the case, what is the error message or don't you get any message at all? You can also try figuring out what the problem is by monitoring using Sysinternals Process Monitor while starting the Sticky Notes application.

Just use one of these apps:
http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/
http://www.greeneclipse.com/stickypad.html

Both run fine and do their job .. so why use StickyNotes?

In case it helps someone...
I opened a command prompt in my c:\users\\ folder and tried to run the .cmd file from there which resulted in the "File not found" errors similar to klebs above.
I changed directory to the location where I unpacked the .zip contents (where the .cmd file was), and it worked great!
Thanks for this fix!
