BTW now using Vail + XBMC, working perfectly with MCE remote.. couldnt be happier!!

Works great on Vail too, but is it possible to get red of the “Test Mode…” logo in the bottom right corner?

Is it possible to disable what has been enabled to install the driver, without deactiviting the driver??

This doesn’t work on 2008r2. Even when you run the script as administrator and it completes successfully, the devices get an exclaimation mark and windows complains about the drivers not being signed.

“Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)”

Ok… it works. It doesn´t work when your loged in via Remotedesktop. With a local login the remote works.

Installation: works fine –> in the Device-Mager are now the “Mircosoft eHome Infrared Transreceiver”, “Consumer IR Devices”, a HID Mouse, HID Keyboards and other HID Devices.

Problem:
- Windows: the Remote doesn´t work
- Test it with Media Portal 1.1.0 RC2 –> nothing, the Remote doesn´t work
- The IR Receiver LED is blinking sometimes (I do nothing with the Remote).

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64 german

On Windows 7 x64 the MCE v1 works perfectly.

If anyone is interested. I found a tool to get rid of the “Test Mode” watermark created when unsigned certificates are enabled. http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=dseo

The software also enables and disables unsigned/signed certificates.

After you update the receiver driver you need to go back to the device manager and update the transceiver driver (it will show up as unknown device)
