1. In the Start menu click Run and enter control userpasswords2. After clicking OK the User Accounts window will show up.
User Accounts Manager

2. Next click the account you want to login automatically and uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer checkbox. Click Apply and you will be asked for the password of the user you selected. Enter the password of the selected user twice and click OK. From now on every time you start Windows it will automatically login using the selected user!
Enter password of selected user account twice

Windows 2008 RC doesn’t include the option of control userpasswords2

Arris: That’s weird, I use this method since Windows XP. Anyway, you could also do this via the registry: Microsoft Support: How to turn on automatic logon in Windows.

    Good luck! :)

This does not work. Use netplwiz instead.

How do I make it so it can logon like in Windows 7 where there are pictures of the user accounts with the username and I click on the picture of my account and enter the password.
    Replies are appreciated.

I am quite tired of having to type my username in the field. It is really getting annoying.

Even If I go to the section where it says Do Not Show the Last User who Logged on Succesfully, even though its on Disabled, it still works as if its enabled.

Arris: Probably, while following the Disable Ctrl+Alt+Del tutorial, you have accidentally set “Interactive Logon: Do not display last user name” to Enabled. Set it to Disabled and your problem is solved.

    Thanks but like I said
Interactive Logon: Do not display last user name is set to disabled. Thats my problem. It works when I put it on sleep but it does not when I logoff or restart. Thats my problem, even though its disabled it works like its enabled.
